Enjoy…
2008 has been extremely busy so far, with the Tour packed with events all over the world. Straight after we (Australia) finished R/Up to the Poms in the World Teams Championships in December, I managed to have a bit of time off in Oz and to prepare for the back end of the season. After being in the UK for Christmas in 2006, it was an absolute joy to have a hot Christmas last year! The cricket, the golf, the beach... it's good to get away from the game sometimes and freshen up. I was in North America for most of January and Febuary playing in a number of events. My results have varied. I've had 3 Quarter Finals, a Semi Final and Winner of the Capital Open in Washington DC. It's always good to get a win up on the board, and that win helped push me into the Top 20 in the World for the first time, debuting at #20. As of April 1st, I jumped 2 places to a career high World Rank of 18. I also finished Runner Up in the Canary Wharf Classic in London in March to James Willstrop. It's the biggest final so far in my career and after being seeded 7 at the start of the tournament, I was very pleased with making the final. The Kuwait Open has also come and gone. I made the Round of 16 with Shabana picking up the title.
